Coating equipment can be divided into the following categories based on its function, purpose, and material:
(1) Surface treatment materials before painting; (2) Electrophoretic coating (mainly cathodic electrophoretic coating); (3) Intermediate coating and topcoat (organic solvent type); (4) Environmentally friendly mid coat and topcoat (water-based, powder, high solid content); (5) Special coatings for automobiles (such as PVC underbody coatings, sealants, stone impact resistant coatings, etc.); (6) Spray water-based anti-corrosion coatings (such as fast drying water-based coatings for chassis, engine, and radiator); (7) Powder coatings (anti-corrosion and weather resistant powder coatings for automotive components); (8) Two component low-temperature drying automotive coatings; (9) Automotive repair coatings (including color masterbatch); (10) Coatings for plastic parts, etc.
According to usage and actual application, it can be divided into:
1. Classified according to different uses: automotive coating equipment, ship coating equipment, bridge coating equipment, building coating equipment, and motor electromechanical coating equipment.
2. Classification based on metal properties: mainly refers to the classification of metals and non-metals. Generally, metal coatings are mainly black and non-ferrous metals, while non-metallic coatings are mainly surface coatings on plastics, wood, and concrete.
3. According to the nature of coatings, they can be generally divided into electrical insulation coating equipment, anti noise coating equipment, and decorative coating equipment. Decorative coating equipment can also be divided into heavy anti-corrosion coating and general anti-corrosion coating equipment.
